New dental clinic at Margaretta schools accepts patients
Three dental exam rooms are open at the Margaretta School-Based Health Center. The clinic accepts several insurance plans and offers discounts for qualifying families.
Three new dental exam rooms are open and accepting patients at the Margaretta School-Based Health Center, the Erie County Community Health Center announced in a Sept. 15 release.
Services include cleanings, preventive exams, X-rays, fillings, crowns, extractions, pediatric care and endodontics, according to the health department's announcement.
Students can receive routine dental care during the school day with parental consent. The center says that arrangement can reduce missed class time and parents' absences from work.
The clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. Qualifying uninsured and underinsured families can receive a sliding-fee discount.
The added rooms bring the center's dental capacity to 20 chairs across five clinic locations and a mobile health vehicle in Erie County, according to the release.
To schedule an appointment, call central scheduling at 567-867-5174. The release does not list the Margaretta clinic's hours or explain who beyond students can use it; callers should confirm eligibility and scheduling.
