Perkins fire department to hold final Station 3 open house Oct. 11

The Perkins Township Fire Department plans its final open house at Fire Station 3 for Oct. 11, with demonstrations and family activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The station is at 4510 Milan Road. The township's Sept. 24 announcement lists food and drinks, raffles and prizes, face painting and a Life Flight appearance.

Visitors of all ages are invited to ask questions and learn about the department's work.

The township describes the event as the last open house at Station 3. Its announcement does not explain why or give a station closing date. Admission cost is not listed.
