Port Clinton cleanup is Saturday; residents must unload their own vehicles
The Oct. 10 drop-off runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the city-designated City Hall parking lot. Proof of city residency is required, and several materials are excluded.
Port Clinton residents can bring discarded items to the city's fall cleanup Saturday, Oct. 10, but must unload their own vehicles and bring proof of residency.
The drop-off runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City Hall parking lot identified in the city's announcement. Drivers should enter through the Police Station entrance off Buckeye Boulevard.
City crews will operate heavy equipment to move discarded items into dumpsters. They will not remove items from residents' vehicles or trailers, the notice says.
The collection is limited to city residents. The city does not specify in the notice which documents it accepts as proof of residency.
Excluded items are hazardous materials, lawn and landscaping materials, contractor construction materials, tires, paint, computers, televisions, air conditioners and refrigerators.
The notice does not list a disposal fee. Residents with questions about eligibility or what they can bring can call 419-734-5522, ext. 239, or email pcadmin@portclinton.com.
