Sandusky Halloween decorating contest entries due Oct. 16
Homes within city limits can enter four categories. Public voting opens the week of Oct. 19, and the entry form requires a photo and permission to display it.
Sandusky residents have until Friday, Oct. 16, to enter their homes in the city's Haunt the House Halloween decorating contest.
The city is organizing the contest with Greater Sandusky Partnership and Destination Sandusky, according to its Oct. 8 announcement.
The four categories are spookiest, traditional fall, funniest and people's choice. Public voting will open the week of Oct. 19. Homes must be within Sandusky city limits.
The city's entry form asks for a name, email address, phone number, display address and photo. Entrants must confirm they took the photo or have permission to share it, and allow the city and partnership to use it in the public voting survey and their communications.
The form also allows someone to nominate another person's house and asks for the owner's contact information in that case.
The city says winners will receive a prize. Its announcement does not specify the prizes, a deadline time or when winners will be named.
