Erie County spotlights local addiction treatment and a 24-hour help line
A new county video highlights Kaptur Treatment & Recovery. The department lists detox, residential and outpatient care, with a phone contact available around the clock.
The Erie County Health Department is directing residents seeking substance-use treatment to Kaptur Treatment & Recovery through a new video and a phone contact available 24 hours a day.
The department's Oct. 8 website post promotes a two-minute video featuring recent graduates. The announcement itself is dated Oct. 7.
The post lists 567-304-3900 for confidential guidance around the clock. The department's separate services page lists 419-624-3353 to schedule a confidential intake.
According to that services page, the Erie County Detoxification Center has 16 beds for medically monitored withdrawal care. Kaptur's residential program has 14 beds and offers a 28-day program for adults with substance-use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
The department also lists intensive outpatient care, treatment combining medication with counseling, and an outpatient detox program for patients assessed as medically appropriate. Those services do not all require a residential stay.
The announcement does not give current bed availability, waiting times or treatment prices. Residents should ask the intake team about admission requirements, insurance and costs. The video highlights existing services; it does not announce a new facility or an expansion.
